The HT3100 mining truck adopts a 4×2 electric drive configuration. The engine drives the main generator to produce three-phase alternating current, which is converted into direct current by the rectifier unit in the electric control cabinet. The frequency converter with IGBT as the core component in the electric control cabinet converts the rectified direct current into three-phase alternating current with adjustable amplitude and frequency, realizing the traction and speed regulation of the traction motor.
The traction motor drives the reducer to transmit power to the tires for power transfer. The forward and backward movement of the vehicle is achieved by changing the direction of the magnetic field current of the traction motor.
